History
The World's Largest Guernsey Cow
In the late 1920's the area of Exton in Pennsylvania in the United States was little more than a sleepy crossroads in the middle of farmlands about 25 miles west of Philadelphia. Over the next six decades the area transformed with a little help from the World's Largest Guernsey Cow and its Famous Ice Cream.

Royal Norfolk Show 2008
Twenty Guernseys, not including any calves or maiden heifers, were forward for this years Royal Norfolk Show, including three from Sir Howard Guinness who came all the way from Dorset.

The judge was Andrew Waters standing in at very short notice for Kim Sales, who is suffering with a painful back and couldn’t make the journey up from Somerset. Andrew found his champion in Sharnford Marigold from Jason and Katharine Salisbury giving them their first breed championship and plenty of publicity for their Suffolk Farmhouse Cheeses. But it didn’t stop there. For the first time at this show, the interbreed classes were judged by a panel of all the dairy breed judges. Only once before in living memory has a Guernsey been in the Reserve Interbreed Champion position, but Marigold made it number two, being given maximum points by the Holstein judge.

How To Upload Photos to The Guernsey Photo Gallery
Want to photograph cows and post the images on the internet so they can be seen by folks from all over the world?

Here are (hopefully simple) instructions on how to do so.  And information on how to make the best of the EGCS photo gallery even if you don't want to post photographs.  Did you know, for example, that you could vote on your favourite photo?  Or send a Guernsey cow e-card to a friend?
